Tuesday's Tip
Peroxide is a wonderful thing! Just check out all it's uses:
1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe.) No more canker sores, and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.
2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.
3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.
4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.
5. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day.
6. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.
7. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.
8. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, reddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change.
9. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils, fungus, or other skin infections.
10. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

Scripture Sunday
Red is for the blood He gave,
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins we made,
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow,
Pink is for our new tomorrow.
A bag full of jelly beans
Colorful and sweet
Is a prayer, is a promise
Is a friend’s small treat.

Saturday Shape Up
Easter is upon us! My children get Easter baskets each year. Instead of buying new baskets they use the same one each year. Sunday morning they find their basket, go through it, have their picture taken and then empty the baskets out. I then put the baskets away--into a plastic storage tote. I can "nest" the baskets so that they consume less room in the tote. The totes are then put in the hallway so I can put away the rest of the decorations the following day. Having the baskets put away by the end of the day creates less clutter and one less thing to worry such as where it went-- if the kiddos decide to take it to their room.

Friday Fives
Since Easter is coming up, here are some questions about Easter:
1) What is one thing you loved to do at Easter time as a child?
2) How do you remember celebrating Easter as a child?
3) How do you celebrate Easter with your family today?
4) If you found a plastic egg, what would you hope to be inside?
5) What does the phrase, "He is risen; He is risen indeed!" mean to you?
Have fun and don't stress out--make it your own!

Todays Tip: Make a T.A.G. (Take and Give) Journal
Create a journal that you and your spouse can take turns writing in. Only write encouraging and words of life in the journal. My husband and I like to hide our journal from each other so that they other has to find it. You can look at the journal as a taking and giving of encouragement, love, uplifting words. Have fun with it!

Scripture Sunday--Palm Sunday
Today is Palm Sunday and a time to reflect on a blessed and holy day. Below is some information about the palm tree and it's meaning as well as a verse. Prepare yourself for Easter and remember the love He showed by going to the cross for you, me and everyone! ~Tracey
"Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna:
Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord."
~John 12:13~
Palm tree:(Heb. tamar), the date-palm characteristic of Palestine. It is described as "flourishing" (Psalms 92:12), tall,"upright" (Jeremiah 10:5). Its branches are a symbol of victory (Revelation 7:9). "Rising with slender stem 40 or 50, at times even 80, feet aloft, its only branches, the feathery, snow-like, pale-green fronds from 6 to 12 feet long, bending from its top, the palm attracts the eye wherever it is seen." The whole land of Palestine was called by the Greeks and Romans Phoenicia, i.e., "the land of palms." Tadmor in the desert was called by the Greeks and Romans Palmyra, i.e., "the city of palms." The finest specimens of this tree grew at Jericho (Deuteronomy 34:3) and Engedi and along the banks of the Jordan. Branches of the palm tree were carried at the feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:40). At our Lord's triumphal entrance into Jerusalem the crowds took palm branches, and went forth to meet him, crying, "Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 21:8; John 12:13).
