Friday Fives

Tuesday are for tips to help try and make life a little easier or simpler so you have more time!

20 Uses for baking soda



1. Gargle with baking soda or use it as a mouthwash.
2. Use baking soda to brush your pets' teeth
3. Discourage weeds by sprinkling baking soda into the cracks of your driveway.
4. To clean a toilet, add 1/4 cup baking soda to the bowl, swirl, then scrub.
5. Make a fluffier omelet by adding 1/2 teaspoon baking soda for every 3 eggs.
6. For instant relief from bug bites, sunburn and poison ivy, mix baking soda with a little water to make a paste and apply directly to affected area.
7. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your bath for an at-home spa treatment.

Marriage Minute Monday

Being married takes work, a lot of hard work. Each Monday I will post some type of tip, idea, suggestion or encouragement to help you in your marriage life.

Todays Tip: Make a T.A.G. (Take and Give) Journal
Create a journal that you and your spouse can take turns writing in. Only write encouraging and words of life in the journal. My husband and I like to hide our journal from each other so that they other has to find it. You can look at the journal as a taking and giving of encouragement, love, uplifting words. Have fun with it!

Scripture Sunday--Palm Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday and a time to reflect on a blessed and holy day. Below is some information about the palm tree and it's meaning as well as a verse. Prepare yourself for Easter and remember the love He showed by going to the cross for you, me and everyone! ~Tracey

"Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna:
Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord."
~John 12:13~

Easton's Bible Dictionary says this about the Palm tree:

Palm tree:(Heb. tamar), the date-palm characteristic of Palestine. It is described as "flourishing" (Psalms 92:12), tall,"upright" (Jeremiah 10:5). Its branches are a symbol of victory (Revelation 7:9). "Rising with slender stem 40 or 50, at times even 80, feet aloft, its only branches, the feathery, snow-like, pale-green fronds from 6 to 12 feet long, bending from its top, the palm attracts the eye wherever it is seen." The whole land of Palestine was called by the Greeks and Romans Phoenicia, i.e., "the land of palms." Tadmor in the desert was called by the Greeks and Romans Palmyra, i.e., "the city of palms." The finest specimens of this tree grew at Jericho (Deuteronomy 34:3) and Engedi and along the banks of the Jordan. Branches of the palm tree were carried at the feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:40). At our Lord's triumphal entrance into Jerusalem the crowds took palm branches, and went forth to meet him, crying, "Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 21:8; John 12:13).
